February Mini-Workshop on Beads!

-->
Knitting with beads can be a wonderful way to add elegance and texture to any knitted project.  In this fun, hands-on workshop, you’ll discover a variety of ways to use beads in your knitting. Whether you’re new to beading or you’ve been knitting with beads for a while, beading diva Wendy Troemel will show you techniques to transform a beautiful project into something exquisite.
The A, B, Seeds of Beading with Wendy Troemel
Beads are such a fabulous and easy way to add drama to your lacey projects.  But how do you add beads to yarn, and just how do you pair up yarn and beads?  What happens when there are no beads designed into the pattern?  This class will teach different methods to add beads to yarn, the most common types of beads used in knitting/crocheting, and how to look at a non-beaded pattern and plan where they could go.
Wendy taught herself how to crochet 13 years ago in order to make adorable baby blankets for her friends.  Upon realizing her mother would never join her with a hook, she took up knitting 5 years ago and now enjoys being “bi-stitchual.” After leaving her engineering job in summer 2012, she was offered employment at Sugarfoot Yarns in Peachtree City, where she not only enables people with yummy yarns and teaches beginning knitting and crochet classes, but is also the Social Media Goddess in charge of all things Ravelry, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, and blogging.  She is also a moderator for designer Rosemary (Romi) Hill in Romi’s group on Ravelry.  She can be found on Ravelry as wendrish whenever she isn’t running her 3 kids around to karate, soccer, band, art club, and academic teams.
